Previously, at the stage of research on regenerative medicine, materials and reagents were brought into a cell culture room packaged or after sterilization with alcohol. Good Manufacturing Practices regarding the sterilization implementation speed and sterility could be ignored. However, this condition is different for clinical applications.

We are therefore developing a sterilization method using an electron beam. The beam emits low energy to sterilize the surface of the packages. For batch systems, it takes only five minutes from turning on the electron beam sterilization machine to introducing the package into the isolator. And the continuous feed can complete the sterilization in only a few seconds.

Following these developments, we are exploring the decontamination of the materials themselves and the delivery of kits.
