My name is Shinichi Nakano and I am in the Production Department and CMC Control Group at Healios K.K..

I am currently involved in the development of iPS cell-derived regenerative medical products and also consultations on pharmaceutical affairs with the Japan Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency.

I became involved in the development of iPS cell-derived regenerative medical products five years ago when my father was diagnosed with ALS, an intractable disease.

I had been doing basic cell research at universities and other institutions, but was faced with the challenge of clinical applications.

I then joined Helios, which is involved in the development of iPS cell-derived regenerative medical products.

Unfortunately, my father passed away three years ago from ALS, but I am convinced that iPS cell-derived regenerative medical products are a ray of hope for patients suffering from intractable diseases such as ALS and other diseases.

We are committed to research and development that will deliver iPS cell-derived regenerative medicine and other products to as many patients as possible as soon as possible.
