P.S. i LOVE YOU PROJECT

The “P.S. i LOVE YOU” PROJECT site has opened.

On February 14, 2022, the CiRA Foundation launched the “P.S. i LOVE YOU” PROJECT with 19 participating companies and 18 groups. The purpose of this project is to expand the circle of people who support us in developing regenerative medicine using iPS cell technologies. The CiRA Foundation is a public interest incorporated foundation established by Kyoto University.

It has been 15 years since Shinya Yamanaka, Representative Director of the CiRA Foundation, published his study describing the establishment of human iPS cells in 2007. Through the hard work of numerous researchers, the research and development of new medical therapies using iPS cells have greatly progressed. Moreover, clinical applications of some of these therapies have begun. For regenerative medicine using iPS cells to become standard medical care, we believe that universities, the CiRA Foundation, and relevant companies must work closely together. By enhancing the efficacy of these therapies, we can reduce the distress and burden on patients suffering from diseases and injuries.

On Valentine's Day, the CiRA Foundation, as a promoting institution, and participating companies began communication of this project to solicit public understanding and interest and gain more public support.

We appreciate your support.
