P.S. i LOVE YOU PROJECT

I originally worked for a pharmaceutical company, doing research on the production of pharmaceuticals.

But currently I am doing research and development on the my iPS project at the CiRA Foundation.

Until now, iPS cells have been cultured manually by skilled researchers.

This limits the number of cells that can be handled and also causes variations in the cell quality.

In our current research, we are developing equipment that can perform all tasks automatically, but it is still difficult to use equipment to automatically culture cells while monitoring their condition, as is done by humans.

Regenerative medicine using iPS cells is a dream technology that has the potential to cure diseases and injuries that cannot be treated with conventional drugs.

Research to realize this dream is a very rewarding job.

On the other hand, because we want the technology to be put to practical use as soon as possible, there is a constant feeling of pressure.

Of course, there are limits to what I can do alone.

So one of my roles is to increase the number of colleagues. I need the cooperation of many people in order to carry out this difficult project.

I believe it is important to spread the word to others.

To this end, I am disseminating information about our project, our challenges and our needs.

About the organization

The CiRA Foundation is a public interest incorporated foundation that was founded by Kyoto University to manage some of the responsibilities previously handled by the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University. Its goal is to deliver Top iPS cell technologies at affordable prices. It also acts as a bridge between academia and industry for the production, storage, and quality control of iPS cells.
