P.S. i LOVE YOU PROJECT

Imagine a child, due to an illness, restricted in diet and exercise, left with no choice but to endure or give up.

Exercise is forbidden. The child cannot participate in physical education classes nor ride a bicycle.

No excursions or school trips because of dietary restrictions.

This was normal life for my childhood.

In addition to medication, the exercise and dietary restrictions were a type of treatment.

With progress in research, these restrictions have eased but are still necessary when symptoms are severe.

Illnesses prevent people from sharing the same experiences as healthy people, limiting their opportunities and options.

I often envision a future in which the ill will never have to endure these limitations, and everyone will have the same opportunities and options.

In my own work, I do not produce cells or conduct research but am the person in charge of administration, human resources and finance.

From a management perspective, I conduct my responsibilities professionally, even if the staff may think I am being too hard, so that the many people who have high hopes for iPS cell therapy will not be disappointed.

About the organization

The CiRA Foundation is a public interest incorporated foundation that was founded by Kyoto University to manage some of the responsibilities previously handled by the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University. Its goal is to deliver Top iPS cell technologies at affordable prices. It also acts as a bridge between academia and industry for the production, storage, and quality control of iPS cells.
