How to apply for iPS Cell Stock

The CiRA Foundation has a policy and review committee on how cells are provided to institutes and industries. Factors considered include the research proposal, business plan, ethical approval, etc.
Organizations that desire the use of the iPSC stock are requested to contact us at the following e-mail address regarding your request for use. The iPS Cell Stock Review Committee will evaluate the documents and render the decision.

We provide this service to academic research institutions and companies involved in the research and development of regenerative medicine using iPS cells.

  1. Customer User registration request

    First, please contact us at the following e-mail address regarding your request for use.

    • To understand the outline of your research, please fill in and attach the following request form.

  2. CiRA_F Content check

    We will briefly check your research plan, and then introduce how to register your account and submit a new application.

    • Once we have received your application form, we will contact you within 7 business days. If you do not hear from us after 7 days, please contact us again at the above email.
  3. Customer Application

    Please log in to the application system and submit a new application.

    • If your account is not registered or you receive an error message, please contact us.

  4. CiRA_F Application review

    The iPS Cell Stock Review Committee Office will check if your application meets the examination standards and national regulations.

    • The typical reviewing period is approximately one month after application receipt but may depend on the content of your application or the committee's schedule.
  5. Customer CiRA_F Agreement signing

    After the iPS Cell Stock Review Committee approves your application, our contracting staff will send you a draft contract.

  6. CiRA_F iPS cell shipment

    We will ship the iPS cells after the Collaborative Research Agreement (for material transfer) is completed by all parties.

  7. Customer Payment

    We will issue an invoice after we ship iPS Cells.

  8. Customer Using iPS Cell Stock

    You may use the iPS cells within the range of approved purposes stated in your application.

    • If you wish to change the content of your application, please submit the modified application through the application system.
      If you finish your research using our iPS cells, please submit the termination report through the application system.
